The extraction failed for an unknown reason. The program has been closed without installing. Thank you for providing us with the Info ID code. Please note that we do not provide support to the end users of their customers. We don't take any responsibilities regarding the information below.

Our engineers have checked both the packages as Sun has provided them for download as well as the SFX (self-extracting file) that NOSSO® creates. Both the Sun packages and the SFX do not contain any error. The checksum calculation that our engineers performed showed that the packages have been damaged during the download.

To verify this for your downloaded package, we recommend that you perform an MD5 checksum calculation for the package you have downloaded and compare it with the checksums that Sun offers on its Solaris download page. That way, you can determine which package has been damaged and only need to re-download the damaged package.

Damages during download may be caused by different reasons, e.g. using a defective download manager or if the files are truncated (not delivered completely) during transmission over the Internet.

Please refer for help to the following Sun FAQ page:SUN FAQ.

If you need further assistance, please contact Sun's download support team here.

The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

The directory/folder was shared via SMB but was local to executing process.

Sharing the folder does not trigger the problem itself. Unfortunately the above file (the ISO image to be re-created) is not permanently opened by the NOSSO® SFX. Another process (e.g. a virus scanner) has opened the file in between and NOSSO® SFX fails to continue writing to it afterwards.

Such a process may run on any of the machines that can access the shared folder. You will have to (temporarily) close/disable/disconnect those programs that might open the above file before completion.

Please see the system requirements in the Sun Microsystems Read Me file as well.

  • 32.508.321.2.10066

A sharing violation occurred.

Another process (e.g. a virus scanner) has opened the file during the ISO image creation process and NOSSO® SFX fails to continue writing to it afterwards.

Do not try to open and/or try to prevent other programs from opening the (yet unfinished) ISO image as long as it still has the extension *.tmp.

It will be renamed to *.iso as soon as it is completed.

Please see the system requirements in the Read Me file as well.

  • 6800.343.14.2.10104

Calculating the checksum failed. This can be the case if the download has not been completed successfully or if something (e.g. malware) restricts access to the file and the checksum cannot be checked.

Re-start the download if the product was not downloaded successfully.
